MEET OUR TEACHERS
Emily believes in keeping artistry alive in dance performance and choreographing narrative stories complemented by strong technical foundations. She has studied with several renowned teachers in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, lyrical and modern during her years of training through competitive, convention, collegiate, and professional platforms. Emily-Anne recently relocated to Sonoma and is excited to share her love and knowledge of dance with her new community.
Emily-Anne began choreographing at the age of 15 and directed and ran her own studio through high school. She is the former Director of Rhyth-Em’s Studio of Dance and Assistant Director of Lisa’s Centre of Dance Artistry. Emily-Anne enjoys choreographing and teaching dancers of all ages. She currently works as a freelance choreographer and teacher for several studios in New York, Los Angeles and Orange County and her choreography has been featured at the State University of NY at Oswego and UCLA.
Emily-Anne received her BA in Dance with a concentration in Jazz from Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts. As a dancer, Emily-Anne competed at regional and national levels; she was featured in several pieces of work at The Pittsburgh Playhouse and was a featured dancer for FOX’s “Raising Hope.”
Shannon is a proud mommy of her greatest guru, Indigo Anand, co-founder alongside her superhero hubby, Nick Dalton, of this 501c3 non-profit heART without borders and a lover of life, learning, and sharing what she has learned with others. Shannon has had the distinct honor of performing on many Broadway, Off-Broadway, International, Touring, and Regional stages in shows such as 42nd Street, White Christmas, Follies, Gentleman Prefer Blondes, Grease, West Side Story, On the Town, American in Paris and many, many more. Shannon has a deep love for not only teaching dance and theatre arts, but also of teaching Yoga, Meditation, and about Ayurvedic principles in order to support others in being their most balanced and best selves they can be.
**NOTE: Shannon is on maternity leave for the Winter/Spring session.
